Women, Infants & Children (WIC) is a supplemental nutrition program funded by federal grants to help听prenatal and postpartum听women, infants, and children under the age of five. Participants receive one-on-one nutrition education, breastfeeding support, healthcare听and community听referrals,听and a WIC food benefit card听to purchase healthy foods听at听local grocery stores. To enroll, proof of income, current address,听identification card,听and proof of听pregnancy听(if applicable)听are听needed听at the听initial visit. A part-time WIC office is located on the 快活林性息 campus in Sequoia Hall Room 113. This office is open to all 快活林性息 students, staff, or faculty members, and the surrounding community. This office is operated by听Northeast Valley Health Corporation,听a private, non-profit community-based organization who also operate (8) additional WIC offices in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys.听
