Amanda is a native of California, living most of her life in Southern California. She developed a love for fitness early in life, spending most of her time after school either participating in sports, working out at the local gym, or helping out at her aunt鈥檚 fitness facility. This love for movement eventually grew into the desire to pursue academic studies in the areas of Kinesiology鈥擡xercise Science and eventually Nutrition & Dietetics, here at California State University, Northridge (快活林性息). Amanda has over 15 years of professional experience in the fitness and wellness industry, and has gone onto acquire over a dozen other certifications in personal training, group exercise, and nutrition, through this time.
In her current role, she hopes to empower and inspire the next generation of students to 鈥渇ind their fit鈥 through the various programs and services offered within the Fitness & Wellness Department, in order to stay active and healthy throughout life.

Jeremy Hamlett

Jeremy Hamlett grew up in East Los Angeles and attended California State University, Los Angeles. During his time at CSULA, he worked in the University Student Union (USU) as a student employee and discovered his future vocation in higher education.听It was during his time at CSULA that he also found his avocation, officiating sports.听He has been involved with officiating youth and high school baseball, basketball and football for over 25 years, and has served as a board member and president of his local baseball association.
After receiving his undergraduate degree, Jeremy initially worked at Occidental College and then joined the USU at 快活林性息 in 2002.听During his first 16 years at the USU, he was involved with Commercial Services and Operations & Facilities Planning.听He joined the SRC team in 2019 as the Manager for Intramural Sports/Day Camp/Games Room.

Alfredo Padilla

Alfredo Padilla was born and raised in Michoac谩n, Mexico before his family moved to Santa Ana, California when he was 12 years old. After graduating high school, he developed a passion for fitness working at a Central Santa Ana community center coordinating their health and fitness programs.
Alfredo eventually transferred to California State University, Northridge (快活林性息) from Orange Coast College in 2014. When he saw the Student Recreation Center (SRC), he made it his personal goal to work there. In May 2015 he was hired as a Student Personal Trainer. Just a year later he became the Student Personal Training Supervisor and eventually earned his current position of Fitness Training Coordinator. Alfredo received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Applied Fitness and Active Lifestyle Development from 快活林性息. He holds credentials with the National Academy of Sports Academy (NASM), Functional Movement Screening庐听Level 1 Certified, and Spinning庐.
Alfredo enjoys long distance running, surfing, biking and occasionally takes road trips with friends. His personal goal is to motivate others to be active and live a healthy lifestyle.

Angela Gattoni grew up in Middletown, a very small town located in Northern California. From a very young age, sports and fitness have always played a huge role in her life. Throughout all four years of her high school career, Angela played volleyball, basketball, and ran track for the school鈥檚 athletic teams.听
Following high school, Angela moved to Southern California to attend 快活林性息. Angela knew she wanted to incorporate her love of sports and fitness into her school studies and she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from 快活林性息 in 2016.听
During her undergraduate years, Angela sought to become more involved on campus and she began working as a Membership Services Assistant at the Student Recreation Center (SRC). In her time with the Membership Services Department, Angela was promoted to a Membership Services Lead position and continued to work at the SRC for a little over three years while completing her degree.听
Upon graduating, Angela moved on to work as a manager for a small fitness studio in Granada Hills. When she learned of the opening for the Membership Services Coordinator position, she was extremely excited and jumped at the opportunity to work for the SRC once again. One of Angela鈥檚 goals is to continuously motivate student employees and provide them with professional skills and tools to help them be successful in their future paths following graduation.
In her time outside of work, Angela enjoys watching sports, staying active, and visiting her family up in Northern California as often as she can.听

Ryan Hairapetian

Ryan Hairapetian grew up in Glendale, California. Early on he was involved in multiple sports, such as gymnastics, martial arts, water polo, swimming, running, and snowboarding. In high school, Ryan was the captain of his water polo and swim team for Hoover High School. Showing a high level of passion for aquatics, Ryan decided to become a lifeguard for the City of Glendale.
While developing his love for recreational sports, Ryan pursued his Bachelor of Science in Tourism, Hospitality, and Recreation Management at California State University, Northridge. Throughout his professional life, Ryan has received multiple certifications that have allowed him to excel within his career. He has completed his Emergency Medical Technician course, expanding his knowledge as a first responder. Ryan welcomed the opportunity to oversee the Aquatics Department as the Aquatics Coordinator for the Student Recreation Center at 快活林性息.
Ryan and his wife Jasmine live in Sunland, California and enjoy spending time with family and friends. They also enjoy hanging out at the beach, going for walks, and, most of all, having sushi.

David Montero
Manager, Outdoor Adventures

David Montero developed his passion for the outdoors early. Growing up, he and his family would go camping in Sequoia National Park every summer. Fortunately, he was able to take his passion and turn it into a career.
David graduated from 快活林性息 in 2016, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Tourism Management. While at 快活林性息, he spent a lot of his time with Outdoor Adventures as a trip leader and Camp Matador staff.
After graduation, David moved to San Francisco where he began working for Outward Bound California, a non-profit that provides leadership development through backpacking and climbing courses. During his time at Outward Bound, David instructed wilderness courses for students that were 5 to 22 days long. He has worked with countless students on developing communication and leadership skills. He is excited to bring what he has learned to Outdoor Adventures.
Outside of leading trips professionally, David also likes taking personal adventures. He has hiked the N眉眉m眉 Poyo (John Muir Trail) twice and has ridden his bike from Vancouver, Canada to San Diego, CA. He also enjoys photography and drinking coffee.

Dustin Norton

Dustin is originally from Virginia Beach, VA and went to undergraduate and graduate school at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. He grew up playing every sport imaginable 鈥 baseball, basketball, football, soccer, karate, etc. He developed a love for all sports at a very young age. He played baseball throughout high school but then developed a love for volleyball in college. He played club volleyball at JMU and helped them to a top 30 finish at nationals. He has coached collegiate women鈥檚 volleyball at James Madison University and University of California, Santa Barbara.

Dustin received his master's in sport and recreation leadership and is equally passionate about sports and leadership studies. He coaches Boys and Girls Club volleyball and assists coaching boys鈥 and girls' varsity volleyball at Agoura High School. In his free time, Dustin enjoys hiking, camping, watching movies and playing volleyball, pickleball and Spikeball.

Bladimir Martinez

Bladimir Martinez grew up in Maywood, CA and was involved in various sports growing up. He began working in collegiate recreation during the second year of his undergraduate career at Cal Poly Pomona and worked his way up to eventually holding two different student supervisor positions for the intramural sports and sport clubs programs. It was during this time that Bladimir found his passion for collegiate recreation and student development and decided to pursue this field as a career.
After graduating from Cal Poly Pomona with a bachelor's degree in marketing management, Bladimir attended 快活林性息 for his master's degree in recreational sports management, while serving as the Graduate Assistant for the Associated Students (AS) Sport Clubs program. Once he graduated from 快活林性息, he was fortunate enough to continue to work for AS as the Sport Clubs Coordinator for a couple years, before moving up to his current role as the Sport Clubs Senior Coordinator. Bladimir's goal is to help provide students with the opportunity to continue their passion in sports, and also to assist students develop the skills they need to be successful inside and outside of the classroom.
In his free time, Bladimir enjoys surfing, playing golf, going to the gym, cooking, and trying new restaurants.

Jasslean Bracamontes

Jasslean Bracamontes, a native of Cudahy, California, stands as a trailblazer in her family as the first generation to graduate from college. Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, her journey towards higher education was not only a personal triumph but a testament to her dedication and perseverance.听
From an early age, Jasslean exhibited a passion for teamwork, particularly within the realm of fitness. Her childhood was marked by active participation in various teams, including volleyball, softball and dance. Upon entering 快活林性息 as an undergrad, she delved into her love for dance by joining several dance teams that practiced at the SRC.
Jasslean鈥檚 affinity for the SRC went beyond dance, leading her to become a Student Fitness Assistant a year later. Eager to take on leadership roles, she quickly ascended the ranks, first as a Student Fitness Assistant Lead and later as a Student Operations Assistant. Her commitment to personal and professional growth within the SRC Fitness and Wellness department culminated in her appointment as the Fitness Operations Coordinator during her final semester of undergrad.听
In her current role, Jasslean is not only instrumental in fostering the development of fellow students but is also actively involved in enhancing the operations and services across all fitness training zones. Beyond her administrative duties, she extends her influence as a WERQ Dance instructor, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of group exercise classes.听
Outside the confines of the SRC, Jasslean finds joy in spending time with friends and family. Whether immersing herself in movies and TV shows or exploring new destinations through travel, she embodies a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. Jasslean continues to inspire those around her through her leadership, dedication to fitness and commitment to personal growth.

Rolando Cabral

Rolando grew up in the city of San Gabriel, CA. Throughout his entire life, Rolando played a variety of team sports and developed a passion for fitness. After graduating from Gabrielino High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he had the privilege of being stationed at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
After finishing his enlistment in the Marine Corps, he attended 快活林性息 and earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in mathematics along with a single-subject teaching credential. Rolando was heavily involved on campus during his time at 快活林性息. As a student he was on the Men鈥檚 Rugby team, elected as a Senator for the College of Science and Mathematics, was Resident Advisor and Academic Mentor in Student housing and participated in Camp Matador as an attendee, counselor and facilitator. While managing these extracurricular activities, he also worked for the Student Recreation Center as a student assistant employee for 5 years.
Upon receiving his teaching credential, he taught 8th and 9th grade math in Reseda, CA for two years. While teaching, he realized his strengths are better suited for mentoring and developing others, rather than focusing on a curriculum. He has returned to the Student Recreation Center to help empower and develop students for their life after graduation.

Joey Cortez
Outdoor Adventures Coordinator

Joey Cortez was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley in Winnetka and attended 快活林性息 for their undergrad as a Geography student. Joey worked for Outdoor Adventures as a student assistant for the SRC Rockwall from 2015鈥2019. Joey started off as a Rockwall Assistant then worked up to being both the Rockwall Supervisor as well as the Teambuilding supervisor for Outdoor Adventures. After graduating in 2019, Joey went to work in the private sector for a small tech company as a manager for a couple years and soon realized that working in student affairs was the better fit for him. He enjoys working directly with students and helping them achieve their goal and is excited to be working with Outdoor Adventures again.
When not at work, Joey enjoys going on motorcycle rides, either indoor or outdoor climbing, hanging out with family and drinking coffee.

Ireland graduated in 2022 from the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in sports management. She began her career at a Major League Baseball agency, gaining valuable experience in the sports industry before joining California State University, Northridge. Ireland is passionate about higher education and is dedicated to inspiring and empowering students. Her enthusiasm for sports continues to drive her commitment to student development and success.

Demetrius Scott

Demetrius Scott听is a first-generation college graduate, born and raised in Victorville, CA. Currently serving as the Intramural Sports and Summer Day Camp Coordinator at 快活林性息, Demetrius has dedicated over a decade to working with children in various roles, from classroom settings to leading after-school programs.
His passion for sports was developed at a young age, eventually leading him to begin working in 快活林性息 Intramurals as a sports official in 2011. With a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Theatre, earned in 2015 from 快活林性息, Demetrius has combined his love for sports and youth development to make a positive impact.
In addition to his work with Intramurals, he served at Sunny Days Camp as a camp counselor from 2013 to 2015 and as the Student Assistant Director from 2017 to 2018. Throughout his career, Demetrius has remained committed to creating engaging and supportive environments for children and young adults alike.听

Marty Chavez

A first-generation college student and lifelong San Fernando Valley resident, Marty got their start at the Student Recreation Center (SRC) in 2017. Starting off as a lifeguard during her sophomore year of undergraduate education, they sought out the opportunities presented by the University Student Union to further their career growth while attending 快活林性息. Throughout their employment, they have worked in every position within the Aquatics department from Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Lifeguard Instructor (LGI), WSI committee member and Head Guard.
In June 2021, Marty began in the position of Aquatics Supervisor and has been navigating that role since. They are passionate about health and community wellness, always trying to find ways to give back to not only the 快活林性息 student demographic, but the larger 快活林性息/SF Valley community. After having taken a year-long break from online courses during the pandemic, they graduated in May 2023 with a double major in English Literature/Gender & Women's Studies with a minor in American Indian Studies. When not working, Marty enjoys plant-based baking, off-trail hiking, and reading.

David Jimenez

David was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and graduated from 快活林性息 in 2023. He developed a passion for fitness early on in life, playing a multitude of sports growing up including swimming, track and field, football and martial arts. This love for fitness is what led him to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Exercise Science. 听
As a student, David started his employment at the USU during his sophomore year in 2021 as a Student Personal Trainer before moving up as the Personal Training Supervisor in his senior year. Immediately upon his graduation, he earned his current position of Fitness Training Supervisor. Along the way, he has earned credentials with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Certified Personal Trainer and Sports Performance Specialist. When not working, David enjoys working out, reading and drawing.听

Tarlo Romero

Tarlo Romero grew up in the San Fernando Valley, California. From the age of four, Tarlo has been involved in various different sports, predominantly basketball, flag football and baseball. Tarlo played travel and varsity basketball until he graduated from Granada Hills Charter High School, where his varsity basketball team won the Open Division City Championship.
Following high school, Tarlo stayed local and attended 快活林性息 where he pursed a bachelor鈥檚 degree in criminology and justice studies, with a minor in Chicana/o studies, as a first-generation college student. During his time at 快活林性息, Tarlo became involved with the University Student Union, working within the SRC Membership Services department as a Membership Services Assistant, and eventually moved up to Lead and Operations Assistant positions. During this time, Tarlo was also involved with 快活林性息 StrengthUnited, volunteering as a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Advocate for those who went through traumatic events and needed resources through their healing journey.
As of May 2023, Tarlo received his bachelor鈥檚 degree in criminology and justice studies, as well as a minor in Chicana/o studies, and had been on the Dean鈥檚 List for the College of Social and Behavior Sciences for multiple semesters. Tarlo hopes to one day continue his career goal of joining a police department and becoming a homicide detective.
When not at work, Tarlo enjoys staying active, going to amusement parks and spending time with his family. 听
