快活林性息 professor of biology MariaElena Zavala has been named a Fellow of the California Academy of Sciences, joining a group of more than 450 distinguished scientists and other leaders who have made notable contributions to science or science education and communication.
The chance to change an individual鈥檚 life for the better is something most people hope to have at least once in their lives. California State University, Northridge聽聽professor David Blumenkrantz will have that opportunity this summer.
Blumenkrantz will be working with students at the Kibera School for Girls in Nairobi, Kenya, teaching them the art of photography in an eight-week workshop sponsored in part by Nikon.

William Watkins, 快活林性息鈥檚 vice president for student affairs and dean of students, greeted thousands of Matadors with this warm welcome in front of the University Library on Friday, May 20. The university鈥檚 first two Commencement ceremonies of the spring were reserved for students who graduated in fall 2019, spring 2020, summer 2020, fall 2020, spring 2021 and summer 2021,聽when the COVID-19 pandemic kept everyone home.
