Bachelor of Music in Wind Performance
Two selections (such as an etude and a movement from a sonata or concerto) of contrasting classical styles (no jazz or popular). It is strongly suggested that you select your audition materials in consultation with your private teacher or your school band/orchestra teacher. Prepare all major scales. 3 pieces: Mozart Concerto G or D (movements 1 and 2), 1 major 20th Century work of student鈥檚 choice 1鈥�2 movements (i.e. Ibert, Poulenc, Prokofiev, Muczynski, Nielson, etc.), 1 other contrasting piece of student鈥檚 choice (1鈥�2 movements); 2 orchestral excerpts of student鈥檚 choice; All Major scales, All minor scales and 3 octave chromatic. Submit a copy of your senior recital program or another comparable solo recital performance. Also provide a sample of your scholarly writing (research paper, term paper, etc.).
