    To secure your place as a newly-admitted transfer student, you'll need to complete the following steps.

    Steps to Finalize Your Admission

    To accept your admission offer, submit your Intent to Enroll by the deadlines:

    • Fall: May 1
    • Spring: Nov. 1

    聽using your 快活林性息 user ID and password.

    Please note the 快活林性息 Portal is typically unavailable Wednesdays, 8 p.m. to midnight, for routine maintenance.

    Submitting your Intent to Enroll is free. If you plan to become a 快活林性息 Matador, submit your intent today!

    Ask your college or university to send聽your final, official transcripts to the 快活林性息 Office of the Registrar on your college's official letterhead. Transcripts may be sent directly from your school, electronically or via sealed envelope.

    Tips on Sending Transcripts

    Electronic transcripts

    • To send California community college transcripts, review .
    • To send other college transcripts from your school鈥檚 transcript ordering system, choose 鈥淐SU Northridge鈥 as the recipient. If this option is not available, use registrar@csun.edu as the recipient email address.
    • Please do not send identical, duplicate electronic and paper transcripts.

    Paper transcripts

    • If your college doesn鈥檛 offer electronic transcripts, have paper transcripts聽sent to the address聽below in a sealed, unopened envelope.

    Start Planning Early

    • Before developing a plan to finance your education, review 快活林性息鈥檚 estimated which includes basic tuition and fees, books, housing, transportation and personal expenses.
    • Through the combination of grants, loans, scholarships, part-time employment, savings and contributions from family, a college education at 快活林性息 is affordable. With much of the grant and scholarship aid eligibility based on FAFSA need, it鈥檚 important to start planning early.

    How to Apply for Financial Aid

    To be considered for federal financial aid, as well as state aid if you鈥檙e a California resident, you鈥檒l need to complete the (FAFSA) or (CADAA).

    It helps to submit your FAFSA application by April 2 for聽priority consideration in the coming 2025-2026 academic year for California. You must submit your CADAA application by April 2 for the coming 2025-2026 academic year.

    You can request aid at any time and aid can be awarded all year long, but more aid is available if you apply by the priority deadlines.

    Important Deadlines:

    • California residents wishing to be considered for a Cal Grant for the first time must submit a to the California Student Aid Commission by April 2聽for the 2025-2026 academic year. If you already have a Cal Grant and want to renew it, you do not have to complete the GPA Verification Form again. Just be sure to add 快活林性息鈥檚 federal school code 001153 to your FAFSA or CADAA application.
    • If you are a California resident applying for a new Cal Grant from the California Student Aid Commission, you must submit both the FAFSA or CADAA and your by April 2, to be considered for an award in the 2025-2026 academic year.

    How to Apply for 快活林性息 Scholarships

    To apply for institutional scholarships, login to with your 快活林性息 user ID and password.听You will see the list of scholarships including eligibility and application requirements for each one. Please note that each 快活林性息 scholarship requires a separate application and essay.听

    Students awarded 快活林性息 scholarships will be notified in late spring.

    Visit the 快活林性息 Portal for updates on your application and award status. You can also visit the 聽page for additional scholarship opportunities posted throughout the year.

    How to Apply for External Scholarships

    In addition to the scholarships available through 快活林性息, a number of external companies and organizations offer scholarships each year. To maximize external scholarship possibilities, apply for as many relevant scholarships as possible. As some grants are limited, you should submit your application and any required documents as soon as possible.

    Guidelines for Financial Aid and Scholarships

    Based on available funding, financial aid and scholarship applications are reviewed and awarded throughout the year.

    Log in to the 快活林性息 Portal to view your Financial Aid awards.听For navigation help, visit .

    If registered for classes and your aid is available, will apply financial aid funds to any charges on your account and issue refunds for any remaining amount. University Cash Services will send you an email once your funds have disbursed.

    To receive your refund via direct deposit, by early August.

    To promote public health and safety, the California State University (CSU) has long-established immunization requirements. Under the direction of the CSU Chancellor鈥檚 Office, students must meet immunization standards by the end of their first and/or second semesters to avoid holds on class registration.

    Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor to set up your academic plan before enrolling in classes. Advisement depends on your academic college and major.

    3. Check your regularly for advisement information.
    4. Make an advising appointment with the Student Services Center/EOP Satellite for the college of your major or directly with your academic program/major. Refer to聽.听

    As a first-year transfer student, you'll want to attend New Student Orientation (NSO), an orientation program designed to set incoming Matadors up for success.
