How to purchase the health insurance policy at 快活林性息:

1. Go to听
2. 罢测辫别听快活林性息听in the school search box
3. Scroll down to 鈥淢edical 鈥� Student Plan鈥� and click 鈥淓xplore Policy鈥�.
4. On the bottom right corner, click 鈥淕et Started鈥� and 鈥淐ontinue as a Guest鈥�
5. Choose the Insurance Category you are enrolling under and enter your zip code as the required information. *If you do not have a U.S. address, please enter 快活林性息's zip code: 91330 as the required information.
6. Select 鈥淚 have read all applicable plan documents鈥� and click 鈥淣ext鈥�.
7. Choose the term you're enrolling for (i.e. Annual, Fall, Spring, or Spring /Summer) and click 鈥淣ext鈥�
8. Complete your demographic information (SSN not required, only enter your 9-digit 快活林性息 ID #) and make payment

*Once you have purchased the insurance policy, the IESC will automatically receive proof of coverage directly from the health insurance provider, and your foreign (F) hold will be removed.

快活林性息 International Students are required to purchase Health Insurance. In order to purchase the听快活林性息 Health Insurance policy group, please. Please read "How to purchase 快活林性息 Health Insurance Policy" section above.

Alternate Policies:

• Government-Sponsored Students:听If you are a government-sponsored student and your government provides compatible insurance coverage as part of your sponsorship, please email us your Financial Guarantee letter OR proof of health insurance coverage to听insurance@csun.edu. Your Financial Guarantee and/or insurance coverage must be valid for the entire semester/s that you are planning to attend. Please include your first name, last name and 快活林性息 ID number in the subject line of the email.

• Health insurance from a family member who is employed in the U.S. (spouse or parents),听email a confirmation letter that shows the primary insurance holder and dependent coverage summary that has your name included in the document and send it to insurance@csun.edu听for review.听This document is to clarify that your health insurance coverage is through a U.S. employer. All the insurance for employees in the U.S. does not include Medical Evacuation and Repatriation Plan听as it is one of the requirements for all international students. To purchase the medical evacuation/repatriation only, please visit 听and follow the instruction below:

  • 1. Go to听

    3. Choose Global Travel Services by clicking 鈥淩ead More鈥�
    4. Click on the听Global Travel Services link听(you will be redirected to the ACSA Global Travel Plus portal).
    5. Click on 鈥淓nroll Now鈥� and then 鈥淪tart Plan鈥� and select the听"Single Plan"
    6. Complete the enrollment steps and submit payment.

If you are enrolled in an academic program that includes mandatory summer enrollment, it is a requirement to have valid health insurance coverage for the mandatory summer session(s) that you are enrolled in.

Summer 2025 Instructions Only: You may purchase coverage by .听(Type 快活林性息 in the search bar and select your plan year and student category (i.e. International Students).

If for any unforeseen reasons, there's a need for a refund, please note the deadlines and follow the instructions below.

All refund requests must be submitted directly to insurance@csun.edu.

Refund Requests:

鈥�听Request must be submitted within 45 days of insurance term start date.

鈥� Only requests before the refund deadline are considered.

鈥� Will be processed back to the original form of payment.

鈥⑻� Allow 30 business days for processing.

鈥�Credit/debit refunds: Approximately 3 business days AFTER PROCESSING.

鈥�Check refunds: Additional 30 days AFTER PROCESSING.

鈥� Paid claims: The premium will be refunded minus the amount of any paid medical or pharmacy claims.

  • Refunds for E-Check enrollments听must be requested听within 45 days of the insurance term start date.
  • Refunds for Credit Card enrollments听must be requested听within 45 days of the insurance term start date AND within 120 days of purchase, whichever is sooner.听

The International and Exchange Student Center (IESC) is responsible for monitoring and lifting the foreign (F) hold. All international students will have a foreign registration hold placed on their account at the beginning of each registration period that prevents them from registering for classes.

To have the "foreign" (F) hold removed, students must have completed the following:

New Students

1. Release of SEVIS record to 快活林性息听(applies to students who are already in the U.S. with an I-20 from a previous school). For New students not transferring a SEVIS record to 快活林性息, please follow the instruction on #2.
   • For students who already have a SEVIS I-20 from your previous school, please ask your school to release your SEVIS record to California State University, Northridge (快活林性息). Once we have your SEVIS record, our听听office will issue you a new I-20 for your 快活林性息 program.
   • Please note: If your semester at your current school has not ended, please ask your current school to process the transfer of your SEVIS record with a听"future release date"听so that we can remove your foreign hold.
2. Purchase your health insurance policy from听. Type 快活林性息 in the search box and select your plan year and your student category (i.e. International Students). Please read "How to purchase 快活林性息 Health Insurance Policy" section above.听Once you purchase your insurance policy online, the IESC will automatically receive proof of coverage directly from the health insurance provider and your foreign hold will be removed.听Please read the Alternate Policies from the "Alternate Health Insurance Policy Exceptions" section above.

Continuing Students

Continuing international students who will be enrolling in classes听after听successfully completing their first or more semesters at California State University, Northridge (快活林性息) are strongly advised to follow the steps below in the order listed. Continuing international students are advised to take full advantage of their registration appointment to ensure full-time enrollment.

1. 听for information on all registration holds. The IESC is responsible for monitoring and lifting the "Foreign" (F) hold听only. Other departments are responsible for other holds. (i.e. The Academic department is responsible for the "advisement" hold, the Student Health Center is responsible for the "Measles" hold, etc.)
2. Review important announcements posted on the听听for information and reminders on renewing your documents.
3. Purchase your health insurance policy from听. Type 快活林性息 in the search box and select your plan year and your student category (i.e. International Students).听Please read "How to purchase 快活林性息 Health Insurance Policy" section above. Once you purchase your insurance policy online, the IESC will automatically receive proof of coverage directly from the health insurance provider and your foreign hold will be removed.听Please read the Alternate Policies from the "Alternate Health Insurance Policy Exceptions" section above.
4. Please be sure your I-20 is valid to cover the upcoming semester. You are required to extend your I-20 (if necessary) before your foreign hold will be removed.
