快活林性息 Aquatic Programs

The 快活林性息 Aquatic Center mission is to provide valuable recreation and educational programs to the greater 快活林性息 community. The following programs and services are available to 快活林性息 students, faculty, and staff:听
快活林性息 Department of Recreation and Tourism Management (RTM) provides academic credit courses at the Aquatic Center. 快活林性息 educators provide the highest caliber of instruction on Flatwater boating, Wakeboarding and water skiing, Sailing, and many other offerings. Courses are offered during the Spring and Fall Semesters.

RTM 151D: Flat Water BoatingObjectives: This semester-long course serves as an introduction听to safe travel by kayak or canoe on lakes, rivers, and oceans. Course Meetings:听Saturdays, 9:00 to 12:00 Open to听Currently enrolled 快活林性息 students |
RTM 265: Wake boarding and Water skiingObjectives: This semester-long course serves as an introduction to water skiing and wake boarding.听 Course Meetings:听Fridays, 9:00 to 12:00 Open to听Currently enrolled 快活林性息 students 顿别蝉肠谤颈辫迟颈辞苍:听Meeting every Friday at the 快活林性息 Aquatic Center, our Professors and boating instructors will set the foundations of tow sports and expand on critical skills.听 |
RTM 267/LSailingObjectives- This semester-long course serves as a broad introduction to sailing.听 Course Meets- Fridays, 1:00 to 3:45 Open to-听Currently enrolled 快活林性息 students 顿别蝉肠谤颈辫迟颈辞苍-听Meeting every Friday at the 快活林性息 Aquatic Center, our Professors and boating instructors will set the foundations of sailing and expand on critical skills.听 Prerequisite-听Elementary swimming skills. Corequisite: RTM 267L.听 |

BOATING WORKSHOPS (Dates to be determined)
The 快活林性息 Aquatic Center Hosts a variety of Open Recreation workshops. These not-for-credit, private workshops are available to current 快活林性息 students, Faculty and Staff per request only. Workshops are typically two hour-long sessions where you can learn a new skill or continue to develop your boating hobby. Courses are held Friday's and Saturday's from 1:00 to 3:00pm. Workshops are $15 for 快活林性息 Students and $20 for 快活林性息 Faculty and Staff. Workshops include lifeguards/boating instructors, all necessary boating equipment and waived entrance fees into Castaic Lake Recreation Area.听

COMMUNITY BOATING DAYS
If you are not quite ready for a workshop but听want to try things out in a more casual capacity, please join us for our FREE COMMUNITY BOATING DAYS. Whether you are looking for an exciting day of trying something new like kayaking or looking to lounge听around next to the lake, the 快活林性息 Aquatic Center is hosting, free, open recreation days at Lake Castaic.听

快活林性息 Associated Students Outdoor Adventures provides Outdoor Experiences for anyone and everyone. Outdoor Adventures runs trips from 快活林性息 Campus to the Aquatic Center throughout the year.听
