Preliminary Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential Program
The Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential authorizes the holder to conduct Language, Speech, and Hearing Assessments and provide Educational Services, provide specific learning disability area services related to speech and language, and special education services to individuals with language and speech impairments across the special education disability areas, to students from birth through age 22 in services across the continuum of program options available found in California Code of Regulations Title 5 Section 80048.9.3.
Admission Requirements
You must be currently enrolled in the听Master of Science degree program in Communication Disorders and Sciences, Speech-Language Pathology听or have completed the M.S. program at 快活林性息 prior to applying to the credential program. Information about the M.S. program can be found听here.听Please note, the Master of Science in Communication Disorders and Sciences program is only available for Fall admission.听
听1. Credential Program Application听- After being admitted to the master鈥檚 program and within the second semester of coursework, all candidates must submit a separate听online credential program application听along with nonrefundable $50.00 application processing fee (an additional $1.38 service fee will be assessed at checkout).
2.听Valid California Credential or Certificate of Clearance听鈥� Information regarding applying for the Certificate of Clearance can be found听
3. Basic Skills听- bachelor鈥檚 degree or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution meets the Basic Skills Requirement
Program Requirements
GPA听鈥� 2.75 overall since admission and 3.0 with no grades lower than 鈥淐鈥� in the professional program coursework.
