The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at California State University, Northridge stands strong with our Black brothers and sisters. EOP and the Ethnic Studies departments rose out of struggle for educational equity. We are indebted to the brave Black students who stood firm even when confronted with violence and opposition, who worked in solidarity with others, and led a movement which opened the doors of higher education to underrepresented communities. It is heartbreaking that over 50 years later, we face the same injustices. EOP supports the right to bring attention to these injustices and to work together to be agents of change. We all have the right to live a life without fear, without bias and to live in harmony with others. EOP is with you, as together, we all fight for change.
